Big 12 Preview
Here are my predictions for the new Big XII conference
- Oklahoma
- Texas A&M
- Mizzou
- Oklahoma State
- Texas
- Baylor
- Texas Tech
- Kansas State
- Iowa State
- Kansas
Oklahoma State falls on the other side of this playing at Texas A&M, Texas, and Missouri...now this certainly doesn't mean that Oklahoma State can not win these games on the road, its just if my money was on the line I wouldn't like the odds of them being able to pull anything off much better than third in the conference.
Oklahoma could certainly go all the way, but with some tough games early on the question to whether or not they can go undefeated could be answered quickly...but if they can get past the road trip to Florida State, get their revenge vs Mizzou, and go into Texas and win, it could be a very exciting end of the season that decides if Oklahoma will be able to cement a spot in the National Championship game.
On the other side of the coin, Kansas fans should prolly watch the McNeese State game and really hope that they are able to win that one, cuz if they don't I could easily see them having a winless season.

Pac-12 Preview
Welp football is coming is around so that means its time for me to tell you what is going to happen so that you can talk football with your friends without looking stupid....
Ima start with the newly formed Pac-12 because thats what I wanna do and I wanna start with the north division so thats what is going to happen:
North
Arizona State is getting a lot of respect from what I have read so far, but I am not seeing it..In a lot of their toss up games they got unlucky and have to play on the road...its gonna come down to their last two games both at home versus Arizona and Cal to decide how their season ends up.
Stanford should be 7-0 going into their game @USC in late October...this could make for a very exciting end of the season as almost every game after that would TV worthy...
If Oregon can get by LSU in the opener then the potential for their november 12th game @Stanford is there as the biggest game of the year as they don't face USC til afterwards, don't face Utah, and get both Cal and Arizona State at home.
I am going to pick Stanford to win the North and I am going to pick Utah to represent the Pac12 from the south only because the schedule doesn't have them playing Stanford or Oregon, while Arizona State has to face Oregon and Arizona has to face both. That being said I feel that Stanford will easily defeat Utah to win the first Pac-12 Championship.

Premier League
Who is gonna win? Manchester United (13/8)
Top Goalscorer? Wayne Rooney (9/1)
Most Clean Sheets? Manchester City (19/10)
Fantasy Premier League: well since I know fantasy premier league is what everypony gets excited about every year I figured I would give some advice on what players to get on your team and a strategy you should take....
First I like Manchester City's defense and as a result I am going to go with Man City's goalie (Hart) and two defenders planning on being able to keep them throughout the season and get plenty of points from their clean sheets.
Next, having a top goal scorer is crucial to having a successful team so I am going with getting Wayne Rooney on my team as well as picking up Man U Midfielder Nani..
Also for defense I like Fulham's Hughes and Hangeland as I feel they will be able to get some points with them being the center of the defense..
I am also looking for Liverpool's Charlie Adam to put up some points for the pretty low price on ESPN's fantasy game at 6.0
I also made a league if you do happen to have a team which just so happens to be called Friendship is Magic!

Surely itll work this time
Well after quite the losing streak I decided not to post for a couple of days and got my streak up to 3...so I decided to get back into things and try to give my view on the picks...
First off the morning pick with everyone picking Tiger....I wouldn't pick this one at all and if I did I would prolly end up going with Watson...now I am all for Tiger and feel he is the most exciting player to watch, but Watson has beaten him or tied him on the front nine in the first two rounds and Tiger really hasn't been playing Tiger great yet..
Looking at the rest of the picks they look like toss ups or games that really could go either way so I plan on only taking one pick and wait for a better day to get a longer streak....
and that pick is the Yankees...they r rolling right now and with CC pitching and Lackey should be able to keep it going against the Redsox making me feel that that has to be the pick of the day...

This is going good!!!
It seems that if you take my advice you end each day with a steak of zero...which as people have told me isn't actually good for the sftc game so ima try somethin different and actually make a streak here...
Lets start things off with moreeeeee soccerrrrrr by taking dynamo kiev win or draw as their odds are set at even with a spread of zero...also since Rubin Kazan just beat them 2-0 on the road that means that they r ok with a draw or even losing by one in this match while dynamo is going to need to be scoring some goals in order to try to survive which could result either way in reality and is prolly the reason that it is on there...
And now finally some options and a way to get a way from soccer including the St. louis Cardinals!! but thats no fun so I am gonna go with Benfica who has been one of the most reliable soccer teams that I have chosen if I remember correctly so would go with them to win against Trabonozaaopore or watever...
Then Spain U20 to win over Ecuador...this is a pretty easy pick (just like yesterday) and idk y its on there (just like yesterday) and hopefully the result is different this time...
And as much fun as this sounds I am going to keep going with soccer and Barcelona to win by 2 or more as they should easily win by 2 if not more as the odds say that Barcelona winning by 3 is more likely than them winning by 1...
I dont like either of the late night baseball matchups and since going away from soccer I am 0-2 might as well stay on it and pick LA Galaxy to win over the Timbers, especially since I am captaining Landon Donovan in fantasy MLS this week and am expecting quite a week from him....hopefully this should lead to an actually streak by the end of the night and a much better situation than starting off each day at zero

Lets try this again!!
Welp if you followed my advice you got to see urself get to a winning streak of 2 or 3 just to watch urself lose it and have to start all over the next day....woot woot! So lets try this again starting with well idk soccer again this time its the UEFA Champions League between Bate Borisov and Ekransas....now the first thing I notice here is that Ekransas is a lot like Kansas so obviously you can't pick them....so despite the 85/15 percentages that the streak is showing for picks so far I am going with Bate Borisov to win by 2 or more....
After that lets let the soccer train continue by picking @ Panathinaikos win since the odds have them at -175 to win....not sure y its on there should be a pretty easy pick...(UDPATE: o thats y it was on there......................................................................................................................................................)
After that idk its seems like a bunch of toss ups to me a bunch of baseball games that could go either way and then more U20 World Cup which I am having second thoughts on already...but that is the way that I feel the most confident...from the looks of it these r complete toss ups with France being the favorites in the first match at -130 while korea is at even money for win or draw....while the portugal and cameron game is so close that the spread is set at 0....meaning that these games could go either way and its pretty much up to whatever everypony's preference is....so welp lets go with mine...
For the first game I am going to go with the slight favorite in France to win...they got crushed by Colombia and will be needing to turn it around in a hurry if they plan on making it out of the group needing to beat Korea as a loss would end their hopes of making the second round (pretty much) and a tie would force them to win against mali and hope for a crushing defeat of Korea against Colombia.....basically saying that a win here is needed if France wants to keep playing
The second game I am leaning more towards the Cameroon win or draw....pretty much after watching Argentina unable to score against England I am not too fond of going with a win/win again in the U20 world cup especially since this time Portugal is a +125 straight up to win the game neways and after not scoring against Uruguay (gettin 13 shots, but only 1 on goal) I wouldn't feel confident putting my money on a team that has shown a lack of ability to score thus far.
UPDATE: Other options are available for those just trying to get in a bunch of picks the France game still holds but after that is the possibility of getting in the WNBA game and hopefully the San Francisco Giants game...for the basketball the lynx are a 6.5 point favorite and the mercury average 6.6 threes a game woot woot another toss up...the game is between two of the top teams in the west and tho I was originally wanting to go with the lynx it looks like taking the mercury three pointers would be a better pick despite the lynx's 6 game winning streak...
After that the Giants actually have Lincecum pitching on top of their -163 odds to win making me feel a lot more comfortable picking them than I felt about picking Boston yesterday..

How to win Streak for the Cash
Okie dokie everypony....for not posting for such a long time I've decided to let y'all in on some cash this month courtesy of ESPN and their lil games starting with steak for the cash since that's starting up again for the month. First off we got some Russian Premier League soccer which for all I know I haven't lost a bet in ever so lets start off strong and pick FK Amkar Perm Win or Draw...why? Nikita Burmistrov, thats why!..who's that u wonder? well im pretty sure he is the Jimmer of Russian soccer, he is so good that they don't even let him play the whole game cuz it would be unfair to the other teams so with that kinda firepower how can you not take the win or draw?
Next is Bayern Munich win by 2 goals or more....its the best division one team vs a random division two team that isn't named St. Pauli so they ain't gonna even be able to keep it close...my predicition is 4-1 and thats me being nice since there is a guy crying on the espn page for bayern...im expecting this one not to even be a sweat after the 65th minute....
After that its time for baseball....they got their silly monday night baseball game on there between the redsox and indians and it just so happens that the redsox are -175 in that game making that a must pick whether you want to or not....tho im more on the fence of not since I don't like to pick random regular season baseball games unless the pitching matchup is ideal which I don't really think it is in this situation, but with such large odds on the redsox its hard not to take the lil gifts the streakmaster tries to hand out.
UPDATE: ok though I do feel that Boston is a pretty much have to pick, I will throw out another option that includes the U20 World Cup by taking Mexico win over North Korea...Mexico lost their first match of the group vs Argentina and will be looking for a win against the expected lowly of the group North Korea. England had 16 shots on goal vs North Korea and were unable to put ne of them in, but I believe that Mexico would have a much better shot at puttin one in the back of the net despite being unable to against Argentina.
After that there are a lot of options out there with ne to ur choosing...but the one that sticks out to me is continuing with soccer....England vs Argentina is a game between two of the biggest soccer countries in the world, but for England some of the players stayed back to get ready for the the Premier League and as a result are not at the level that they could be, as a result I feel that Argentina has the advantage in this game over the draw and should be able to get a goal in that would allow them to sit comfortably at top of the group going into the final game
