Round of 64: Upset Picks

Thursday, 3:10PM- (12) Long Beach State over (5) New Mexico 

•  New Mexico is a 4 point favorite in this game
•  New Mexico is coming off a MWC tournament championship and wins over UNLV and San Diego State
•  I feel that Long Beach State is battle tested and has been taking the actual effort to get themselves ready for the tournament.
• I've got a 100,000,000 to 1 bet on Long Beach State to win the National Championship...so obviously they have to win their first game to make that happen

Thursday, 8:57PM- (11) Colorado over (6) UNLV

•  UNLV is currently a 6 point favorite over Colorado
•  The spread opened at 3.5 so I assume that Cal's poor performance in the first four may have helped in getting the spread to where it was as more and more evidence goes against the Pac-12 as a pretty sad conference
•  Colorado is the last team representing a Pac-12 school and they are going against another west conference in the Mountain West, so should be attempting to represent the conference strongly (would be a lot more confident if it had been an Arizona or Washington or anypony that has actually been in the conference for a while here but o well).

Friday, 11:40AM- (11) NC State over (6) San Diego State 

•  NC State is a 2.5 point favorite in this game, so obviously this isn't a real upset pick but I went by seeding so suck it
•  You should notice a pattern that has all of the Mountain West losing to higher seeds....I didn't realize this at first, but apparently I don't have much confidence in the Mountain West
•  San Diego State has just been kinda bad as of late so that is my reasoning behind this, if they were playing like they were earlier in the year then this may have been a different pick, but its not

Friday, 8:50PM- (12) USF over (5) Temple

•  Temple is a 3 point favorite in this game
•  I don't know why but I have no confidence in the Owls either, I picked BonBon (St. Bonaventure) to beat them in the A10 tournament and then they did so I feel like that just made my feelings stronger that this isn't the year for Temple
•  USF destroyed Cal and even though I didn't have them in the tournament that shouldn't matter much (I didn't really think VCU was gonna make it last year either).

Other upsets that I like, but don't have too much confidence in

• Thursday, 8:45PM- (13) New Mexico State over (4) Indiana
• Friday, 1:45PM- (14) St. Bonaventure over (3) Florida State
• Friday, 6:20PM- (13) Ohio over (4) Michigan
